TEDxManipal organised its first-ever TED Circles, an enlightening event that brought together people from different backgrounds to discuss and exchange ideas or inspirations and dig deep together on a lively discussion on the theme—Imagination, and its deeply embedded role in our thinking processes.
The third edition of TEDx Manipal was held on the 24th of February, 2019, at TMA Pai Hall auditorium with an incredibly diverse lineup of speakers. The theme for the event was Cognizance, having a sense of awareness or knowledge.
Chhaya Dabas is the founder of ‘Baatein’, a writing platform for poets and artists that has come a long way since its inception on Instagram. Also a cancer survivor, she talks about using writing as a form of self-expression, a distraction from pain, and as a reflection of her understanding of the world.
Megha Bhatia is the founder of Our Voix, a youth-run organisation that aims to prevent child sexual abuse. We, at The MIT Post, had the opportunity to speak with her about Our Voix and her experiences at the organisation. Catch her at TEDxManipal on 24th February 2019.
