Concluding their share of theatre for the year, AAINA recently hosted two plays in the short span of a week—’Chacha Chaubey Ke Chashme Se’, a street play depicting the social evils that plague our country, and ‘In The Name Of Blood’ a crime drama inspired by the Capones. The enthralling performances of the actors and brilliant scripts of both the plays thoroughly delighted the audience.
Aaj ka Bharat, Aap ka Bharat, a street-play by ADA Dramatics performed by their newly recruited members, impressed with its sharp commentary on society and news culture in modern times. The riveting performances of the actors, along with a dose of humour and satire, made for a genuinely gripping performance.
Aaina, the dramatics club, performed a street play aptly titled ‘Media Pe Vaar’. In a moving display of theatre, Aaina highlighted important issues ignored by the media and illustrated the necessity for fair and unbiased journalism.
A cheering audience started to gather around a group of energetic actors performing a street play on censorship and how even during recent times people can’t speak their minds on pertaining issues. A sensitive topic as such required mastery in scriptwriting which AAINA delivered as always. The audience after an astounding performance started to challenge the ideas of freedom and how an independent India is not completely independent
