Spotlight by AAINA Dramatics was held on 22nd September in the library auditorium. The sublime mixture of light entertainment and intense theatrics, kept the audience enraptured throughout the whole eight-play event.
Aaina Dramatics’ flagship production of the semester—Bade Miyaan Deewane was a success, leaving its audience in splits of laughter with its impressive comic timing, and the great acting.
On 6th April, ADA Dramatics organised a light-hearted comedy play, The Great Raja Master Drama Company, at Fortune Inn which entertained the audience and left them in splits.
ADA Dramatics’ annual production, Error 404: Love & Laughter Not Found, consisting of an English and a Hindi play, dealt with the absence of love in the lives of the characters in the play. The plays explored the search for happiness and love and how it could make one lose sight of reality.

AAINA Dramatics presented their main production of the semester, The Mousetrap, which impressed the audience with its perfectly arranged sets and exceptional acting.
Dr. Atamjit Singh is a renowned Punjabi playwright, who has been writing and directing plays for over 40 years. He is a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi award, however he returned it in 2015. His plays tackle a variety of social issues and are heavily rooted in the history of Punjab and its people. We had the oppurtunity to speak to him at MILAP this year.
The MIT Post had the opportunity to speak to Mr. Sandesh Bhandare, a freelance photographer and photojournalist who has contributed to various magazines and newspapers such as Hindustan Times, Outlook Traveller, and Heritage India. His work has been exhibited at major galleries in India and abroad. Read on for more.

Dramebaaz brought theatre and film into the spotlight with Curtain Call and Lights, Camera, Action. Teams competed with trailers of their work for the opportunity to present their plays and movies during the fest.
