Films have always been a powerful medium of expression, with its reach that often being used to promote political agendas and ideals. The Triumph of the Will was the first propaganda film of its magnitude, with imagery particularly designed to increase the clout of the Nazi empire—despite the party being in shambles at the time, The Triumph of the Will presented the Nazis in a position of extreme might and power.

Making History—the War over the Past

India has been embroiled in controversy surrounding changes in textbooks for quite some time. However, neither is this something new nor is it characteristic of only India. History has been used as a tool to influence populations since time immemorial. However, is it in the best interest of students to deprive them of an evidence-based, unbiased education? Or do they just become pawns in a larger war of ideologies?
