On 12th January 2019, Goonj, the Hindi literary society of MAHE celebrated the National Youth Day that marks Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary—commemorating the spiritual leader’s life and teachings.
The Youth Parliament, hosted by Leaders of Tomorrow, saw students battle it out one law at a time. Participants fought against the clock and each other in Lok Sabha, the AIPPM committee, and the 2019 general election committee.
An evening dedicated to saluting the spirits of those who enabled our country to be free, Jashn-e-Azadi was organized by Goonj in celebration of India’s 72nd Independence Day. Patriotism ran high as the audience gathered to witness talented poets, singers, and dancers pay tribute to the Motherland.
The second edition of Jashn-e-Manipal kept the audience well-entertained with talented poets and orators taking to the stage. The performances, infused with humour and wit, maintained a lively and engaging atmosphere throughout.
With their Open Mic, Goonj provided a platform for students to talk about love and share their experiences with it. Participants expressed themselves through poems, stories, and narrations.
Goonj, MIT’s Hindi club, celebrated India’s 69th Republic Day with poems, speeches, and other performances highlighting India’s culture and values.
MIT’s Hindi literary club, Goonj, planned a line-up of incredibly well-executed acts to commemorate ‘Matrubhasha Divas’ on the 21st of February, 2017. The event lived up to its expectations, with a variety of linguistic talent on display.
The diversity of our great nation was manipulated brilliantly to tickle the grey matter of quizzers in Manipal, as Goonj conducted yet another superb installation of its prestigious India Quiz.
