From TV show-inspired events to brain-wracking quizzes, Animania featured an array of captivating events. In these three events, participants were encouraged to break out of their comfort zones and explore their creativity, resulting in a memorable experience.
Crescendo showcased Manipal’s vibrant musical talent through exciting contests. The events filled the campus with harmonious symphonies as participants flaunted their melodic dexterity with a diverse assortment of genres and styles.
Ampersand offered contestants a mixed bag of fun-filled competitions involving spoken and written word, photography, debating and more. The events had thrilling twists with something for everyone, leaving the participants with an enriching and exhilarating experience.
ASME Manipal Students’ Chapter organized Providentia, where MIT’s top technical clubs were showcased to freshers to help them choose the right clubs for themselves. The event was streamed live on YouTube, and seven clubs presented their exciting work and the opportunities they offer.
Blank 101 kept the young minds of MIT students racing with yet another public speaking event, Villains 101. The attendees delved into the psyche and analysed the persona of their favourite villains in an interactive session held via live stream.
Linux Users’ Group, the first and most established open-source community of Manipal, organised an install fest, which was attended by around thirty students from various branches. In the first offline event conducted by LUG since the pandemic, the participants were taught how to dual boot their computers and were introduced to the command line interface.
AIESEC’s Event INNOVEST was aimed at providing the youth with answers to common questions on investments and startups. People often don’t know how to go about investing or dealing with business opportunities. To address all those concerns, INNOVEST had an impressive panel consisting of Varun Mayya, Richard Rekhy and Shashank Udupa. The diverse panel, having very different lived experiences had a broad outlook to offer to the room, and left everyone feeling inspired post the event. Read on to find more on the impact they had!
Celebrations didn’t cease even when we are in the midst of a pandemic, as Chords & Co. presented a Halloween themed event to celebrate individuality and talent. Featuring devilish designs and spine-tingling song covers, Skeletunes comprised goodies that would leave you howling for more.
LDQ held its first-ever online event, Linquiztics across four successful days. Replete with refreshing quizzes, extempore, and creative writing, this event championed the significance of linguistic acumen.
The Literary, Debate and Quiz club returned this semester with yet another puzzling offering. Quiz Meets Quiz, a general knowledge event, was a delight for inquisitive trivia enthusiasts. With an assortment of challenging questions, the quiz kept its audience both entertained and befuddled.
