Humans are the most intelligent species on the planet, yet, they inflict pain on other living beings. Mrs. Babita Madhwaraj’s passionate speech moved her audience as she spoke on the plight of stray dogs in our country and what we can do to make their world a better place.
On 29th August, a crowd of animal lovers took to the streets in a demonstration of animal rights and its infringement. Raising a voice for animals, the gathering paraded from Syndicate Circle to End Point Circle and demanded due attention.
A month after the filing of an FIR on the killing of stray dogs in Manipal, avid activists gathered on Saturday for a peaceful protest outside the Manipal Police Station. They demanded justice and for further investigation in order to catch the perpetrators.
Eight dogs were found dead outside Mandavi Emerald, Manipal on the 22nd of June. With the first FIR of its kind being filed for these killings, the fight for their justice continues.
