Chords and Co. organised Grooveyard 2.0 on 31st October to celebrate Halloween with an amalgamation of music, dance, and spectacular costumes. The unique event catered to a sold-out crowd and made sure that the spookiest night of the year was also a delightful one.
A recent performance hosted by the Cultural Coordination Committee brought the unique dance form of Ottan Thullal to audiences in Manipal. A mythological story, combined with elements of humour and the vibrant expressions of the artists, made for an evening of excellent music, arts and dance.
One of Revels’ most anticipated categories, Footloose lived up to the hype with its lineup of events that explored every aspect of dance as an art form. From classical to hip hop and improv to choreographed dances, Footloose had something in store for everybody who likes to shake a leg every time they hear music.
Manipal’s Got Talent by MAFIA, was a four-day long extravaganza of art, music, and dance. It featured a host of events including painting competitions, band performances, and solo dance competitions.
Regardless of age, cultural background or perm time, people from all across MAHE came together to celebrate Navaratri in style at Dhol Baje. The night of dance, music and fashion, organised by the Rotaract club also served as a fundraiser for the club’s charitable activities.
Dance is a form of art that transcends languages and words, and invokes emotions in anyone who bears witness to it. Footloose outdid itself this Revels, hosting an immensely talented and enthusiastic crowd.
