A show for enthusiasts, from enthusiasts—this year’s Shonen Fest yet again offered a treat for anime and manga fans. MAC Manipal hosted multiple bite-sized competitions and hands-on events for participants to enjoy.
On 26th October, fans of anime flocked to NLH 203 to attend The Anime Quiz, one of the most popular events hosted by the Manga and Anime Club. Although participants pondered over an array of challenging questions, they were kept entertained throughout the event.
The Manga and Anime Club joined hands with Burning Ice to bring to Manipal the unique concept of a Maid Cafe. With anime-inspired decorations and students serving food at Hadiqa dressed in costume, this event provided for a truly entertaining dining experience.
Real fans of Anime and Manga, experienced a true sense of homecoming at Animania’19. With their flagship events—Chunin Exam, The Manga Project, and Liar Game, Animania succeeded in providing a delightful and refreshing experience to all its participants.
The Manga and Anime Club’s Quiz brought all the anime aficionados of MIT together for an ultimate showdown. With an array of challenging questions and entertaining rounds, the event had participants at the edge of their seats the whole time.
With themed decorations and live music, the Manga and Anime Club offered a unique dining experience at Maid Café. With servers cosplaying as anime characters, the event presented an intriguing aspect of the Japanese Otaku Culture.
With Project Bakuman, Chunin Exam and Liar Game, Animania provided the perfect stage for the Manga and Anime fans to congregate and display enthusiasm at Revels’18. From a manga design contest to a cloak-and-dagger test, Animania drew Otakus like flies drawn to honey.
It was every anime aficionado and manga maven’s dream come true, when the Manga and Anime Club- in association with Burning Ice- presented Manipal’s first maid cafe. With Egg Factory’s apt food and decor, all that was required was a few Japanese Cherry Blossoms, laden with pink, to polish the otherwise fascinating set up.
The Manga and Anime club recently organized its first ever independent event, the Shonen Fest. The fest,which offered a range of events including theme based competitions and movie screenings, was a hit amongst the anime lovers of MIT.
