Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will conduct the MET 2022 counselling and seat allotment fully in the online mode. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their MET exam 2022 rank will have to register online in order to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. After registering on the portal, candidates will have to upload the relevant documents in the online mode.

  • Transfer Certificate
  • MET 2022 Hall Ticket
  • Aadhaar Card (Candidate’s Original)
  • PAN Card of the parents (Original)
  • Class 10 Mark Sheet (For Date of Birth Proof)
  • Class 12 Mark Sheet
  • Conduct Certificate
  • Candidate’s 2 Recent Passport Size Photographs
  • Authorization Letter (in case a representative is attending on behalf of a candidate)
  • JEE Mains 2022 January scorecard / SAT score / any state CET marks

There will be a total of 7 rounds of counselling, all held online. Depending on the vacancy (if any), an additional round may be conducted.

Round 1 to 5 (Online rounds): Fresh registration is permitted at the beginning of each round. After registering, candidates are required to fill in their choices in the priority order of their preference, followed by uploading the required documents. Seats will be allotted as per MET 2022 rank, the number of candidates registered, choice, and seat availability.

Round 6 (Intra Institute round): Applicable for those candidates who have taken admission and have started attending the classes in the institute. This round will be conducted after the first five rounds of counselling are done. Interested candidates must register for Intra-Institute sliding at the institute, submit a fresh set of choices and confirm by locking the same. Seats will be allotted according to the candidate’s MET rank, vacancy and the choices provided. The Intra-Institute sliding process will be communicated to you by the Admissions office.

In intra-institute sliding, the upgradation is possible only within the institute, and there is NO possibility of movement across the campus.

Round 7 (Spot round): This Will be conducted for the seats which remain vacant after the previous six rounds of counselling have concluded. This round is applicable for the following students:

  1.     Unregistered candidates in any of the previous rounds of counselling.
  2.     Registered candidates who have NOT gotten any seat in the previous rounds of counselling.
  3.     Registered & allotted candidates who did NOT pay the course fees after the seat allotment in any of the previous rounds.

If there are any vacancies even after the spot round, those seats will be filled based on JEE (Main) rank / any state CET Rank.

The various steps to be followed in the counselling procedure:
Step 1: Registration

The eligible candidates must register for the MET counselling procedure on the official website. After registration, the candidates must log in to the candidate portal (using their Application Number as login ID and OTBS password as the password).

A waitlist deposit (Rs. 10,000) is to be paid online during the registration process for the counselling. The candidates will be eligible to participate in the process only after having paid the deposit. On the confirmation of your seat, the waitlist deposit will be converted into a Refundable Caution Deposit, which is a part of the Course fee.

Fresh registration is allowed at the beginning of each round except for the Intra-Institute round.

Step 2: Choice Filling

After making the payment of the waitlist deposit, the candidate can fill in as many choices as possible from the list, as per preference and must click on the SAVE button to save the changes. Preference 1 is mandatory, while preferences 2 – 43 are optional. Candidates are advised to fill in the choices (institutes and branches) based on their interests.

Step 3: Seat Allocation

The allotment of seats in any round will be as per the MET 2022 Rank, preference and availability of the same. After filling in your branch preferences, the college will release the seat allotment. Post the release of seat allotment results for each round of counselling, a new list of cutoffs will be announced subsequently for each branch. The candidates can modify their choices after the seat allotment is announced in each round. They also have the option of sitting out in the first round of counselling and attending the subsequent rounds.

Step 4: Fee Payment

On seat allotment, the first-year fees are to be paid within the stipulated timeline. To ease the burden of payment in the current scenario, MAHE Manipal has decided to allow part payment of the fees. The 1st year fee payment of Rs. 3,25,000 is split into 2 components:-

  • 1st instalment fee Payment of Rs.  1,65,000—Course Fees

-On Seat Allotment, the candidates are required to pay Rs.1,65,000 before the last date specified for payment for each round.

-On completion of 1st instalment payment, the allotted seat is confirmed, and the candidate will be able to download the provisional admission order from the counselling portal. On confirmation of Fee payment, the allotted candidate becomes a Provisionally Admitted Candidate.

  • 2nd instalment fee Payment of Rs.  1,60,000—Balance Course Fees

-Having made the part payment of Rs. 1,65,000, the candidate is expected to make the balance fee payment of Rs. 1,60,000 on or before the timeline to be finalized.

Important Note: On seat allotment in any round, if the first year Course Fee (1st Installment, i.e. Rs. 1,65,000) is NOT paid before the deadline specified for that round, candidate is out of the counselling process and will also forfeit the waitlist deposit of Rs. 10,000.

In case of any withdrawal (if any) after any round, the fee will be deducted as per UGC Refund policy (refer to
