With Cognitive Control, Treacherous Ties and Lie to Me, Psychus proved to be one of the hottest categories of Revels’18. With events ranging from a test of concentration under pressure to an all-out test of their lying skills, Psychus had its participants hooked from the get-go.
Xventure had something for all the adventure enthusiasts in town. With action packed and challenging events, it received a good response from participants.
From poetry to speaking, word games, and writing, Paradigm Shift had a wide range of funny and engaging events tailored to be challenging and interesting alike.
Kalakriti drew in a swarm of capable artists under one roof and helped them showcase their talents which they otherwise can’t on a daily basis. From Clay Modelling to Face Painting, the competitions exercised every nook and corner of the creative side of the brain.
True to its name, the jubilation, artistic mastery on display, and tangible excitement of Revels all reach their peak intensity at Crescendo. Bearing the tag of being the musical category, it brings out the budding musicians masquerading as engineers, from beneath the crevices. Setting MIT’s most gifted musicians against the rest of the country, it nurtures the spirit of healthy competition. All this, while spreading the euphoria of tasteful music for everyone’s pleasure, allowing revellers and performers alike to let go in the midst of a heated semester.
Those with a penchant for turning any argument in their favour, or a knack for cracking riddles had a field day at Ergo. Join us, as we bring you coverage of every sort of quiz one could possibly dream up, and debates that offered eye-opening perspectives.
Anubhuti—another cultural category of Revels’18 offered a myriad of activities, exclusively in the Hindi language. With events like Tark Vitark, Abhivyakti, Irshaad, Antakshari, and Bujhovala— this category provided a platform for all those skilled at Hindi.
With Project Bakuman, Chunin Exam and Liar Game, Animania provided the perfect stage for the Manga and Anime fans to congregate and display enthusiasm at Revels’18. From a manga design contest to a cloak-and-dagger test, Animania drew Otakus like flies drawn to honey.
