The Literary, Debate, and Quiz Club of MIT held its first LitSoc meeting of the semester on 22nd August. With an exciting set of writing prompts and other engaging activities, the meet kept its participants thoroughly entertained.
Fantasy fiction has intrigued the human imagination for ages. However, within the genre, masked in character arcs and allegory, there are numerous parallels to religion and folklore. These parallels have not gone unnoticed, and to this day, religious ideas in fantasy works continue to stir up debate.
On 6th April, ADA Dramatics organised a light-hearted comedy play, The Great Raja Master Drama Company, at Fortune Inn which entertained the audience and left them in splits.
Learning how to do one’s taxes for the first time and understanding the working of financial institutions can be quite a task. ESoM’s talk on Banks and Taxes aimed to simplify these concepts for students and informed them about real-world economics.
