On 13th September, 2020 the student council of MIT, Manipal organised a technical talk on mixed reality with one of Microsoft’s Learn Student Ambassadors, Faizan Akhtar. A man of subtle humor and moralistic ideals, the mixed reality evangelist sat down with The MIT Post as he enlightened us with his experiences.
On 5th July, The Photography Club conducted an online colour theory workshop. This workshop explored the intricacies of the world of colours and meaning behind them.
The Manipal Conclave’20 launched its latest enterprise, Connect, which features talks by inspiring personalities. The MIT Post had the opportunity to interview Connect’s first speaker, Sumer Rajpurohit, who gave an insight into his YouTube channel, Last Minute Tuitions, and how it all fell into place.
On the occasion of India’s 71st Republic Day, Manipal had witnessed celebrations throughout the day. Starting early with a flag hoisting ceremony and march, and ending with an evening filled with music and dance, it was a lovely way to commemorate this landmark event.
Chords and Co. organised Grooveyard 2.0 on 31st October to celebrate Halloween with an amalgamation of music, dance, and spectacular costumes. The unique event catered to a sold-out crowd and made sure that the spookiest night of the year was also a delightful one.
On 25th October, Naqaab Filmmaking hosted its event about independent filmmaking, attracting a throng of cinematography savants. With interesting facts and anecdotes about films, the audience was kept well engaged.
