The Data Science Club held an interesting workshop on Image Recognition using deep learning. They explained the process of neural networks and how image classifiers work while studying Image Recognition, as it is a widely used introductory example in the field of Machine Learning.
IECSE organised Dribbble meet on 24th October 2018, to nurture the budding designers among us. With a lot of fun activities, the event gave students a breather while simultaneously, well-experienced mentors helped them develop their skills.

With its events, Swadesh and Trash-to-Treasure, it tested the participants’ knowledge of environmental sciences and also made them put knowledge to practical use, as they build something useful out of trash.
Diving into a world of ideas an innovations, Paper Presentation provided a platform for students all over to showcase their research. With a whopping outstation participation of 48 teams, Paper Presentation succeeded in aggregating a multitude of research proposals.
Constructure provided students with a platform to learn and apply the concepts of civil engineering. Participants spanning across all years grabbed this opportunity to gain the valuable practical experience required in this field.
Ground Zero by Artifex took place on 27th and 28th of October at the School of Communication, Manipal. With a ‘Binge Yard’ food-truck and multiple game stalls, the fest emanated carnival vibes.
The Psych Club recently conducted Let’s Talk, an event that brought people together to share their stories and listen to one another. The guest speaker was Dr Samir Praharaj, a professor of Psychiatry at KMC, who provided valuable inputs on mental illnesses and on the avenues that are available to those who want to seek help.
